The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. ~Deuteronomy 6:5-9

Wait upon the Lord...

A dear friend who is going through a trial in her life right now posted one of my favorite passages. Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary;  and they shall walk and not faint." What a great encouragement it was to us.

He was not able to be moved from ICU tonight. There are no rooms available right now in step down. Not sure when one will open up. Also, they wanted him to get good sleep. I was able to sit with him for most of the day but late afternoon we left him as they darkened his room and had him rest. His nurse told me this evening that his pain was a 3 out of 10 which is good. She said he was doing real well. I was able to go in and say goodnight and see him. He said, "We are getting there." Yes, we are. With God's strength; one day at a time. The Lord is good. His faithfulness endures forever.
